Paddlefish have evolved with few morphological changes since the earliest fossil records of the Late Cretaceous, 70 to 75 million years ago. There are four extinct species known only from fossil remains (three from western North America, one from China). Quarried from the Green River Formation and unearthed by hand, this striking mural contains a 29.5″ Paddlefish.
