Southwest Wyoming’s Green River Formation has preserved spectacular, detailed, and complete fish fossils from the Eocene Epoch of approximately 50 million years ago. A small schooling fish, Knightia made an abundant food source for larger Eocene predators. This beautiful piece of prehistoric fossil art contains a left-facing Knightia.
