$1,445.00

Southwest Wyoming’s Green River Formation has preserved spectacular, detailed, and complete fish fossils from the Eocene Epoch of approximately 50 million years ago. Mioplosus is an extinct genus of percid fish that lived from the early to middle Eocene. Mioplosus have pointed teeth and are believed to have been voracious predators: individuals have been found with fish lodged in its throat. Mioplosus fossils are never found in large groups, which suggest they were solitary. This beautiful piece of prehistoric fossil art contains a large Mioplosus.
